4 Healthy Halloween Treats You Can Make In 5 Minutes

Insights
Oct 31, 2024

These are four fun and healthy treats you can make for your kids to get in the Halloween spirit.

The line-up includes:

Mad Mouth Apples

Ingredients:

  • Organic apples
  • Unsweetened almond butter
  • Macadamia nuts or slivered almonds
  • Lemon juice

Slice your apples. Put ½ to 1 teaspoon of almond butter on, place your “teeth” and top with another slice of apple that has been coated with almond butter. Sprinkle with lemon juice to prevent oxidation if you aren’t going to eat the apples right away.

Banana Coconut Ghost Pops

Ingredients:

  • Organic bananas
  • Organic shredded coconut
  • Stevia-sweetened chocolate chips

Cut bananas in half. Roll in shredded coconut. Use one chocolate chip per eye (pointy side in). To make a frozen treat, insert a Popsicle stick and freeze for one hour.

Tangerine Pumpkins

Ingredients:

  • Tangerines
  • Celery Stalk

Peel tangerine. Cut a 2” piece of celery stalk and place it in the center hole of the tangerine.

Candy Corn Fruit Cups

Ingredients:

  • Pineapple, cut into bite-size pieces
  • Orange, cut into bite-size pieces
  • Organic full-fat Greek yogurt

Layer accordingly: pineapple, orange, and then yogurt. Optional: top with a candy corn (but please buy them without dyes or gluten).

I also brought a bowl of what I’m giving out for Halloween this year. If you struggle with giving out candy like I do, then these have been an excellent choice that kids are still excited about when they come to your door.

  • Clif Kid Organic ZFruit + Veggie rope
  • Annie's Organic Fruit Snacks
  • Stretch Island All Natural Fruit Strips
  • Annie's Organic Really Peely Fruit Tape

The motto here is to have fun and keep the sweetness but lose the sugar…and the high fructose corn syrup, broken fats, GMOs, dyes, preservatives, and whatever else goes into popular candy these days.

Sounds like a win-win to us. 🙂
