Summer Lecture Series: Philosophies of Starting a Farm
Presented by: Dan Kemper, Master Trainer Farming can be one of the most rewarding careers available in this day and age, but it comes with plenty of grief and stress. Starting a new farm can be even harder, especially for first generation farmers who did not grow up learning the trade.
This evening lecture will focus on the philosophy of beginning a farm, and what can be expected during the process. After 10 years of training new/aspiring farmers to begin their careers in organic agriculture, Dan Kemper will share his experiences over the last decade, and critically discuss intentions, goals, and hurdles of starting an organic farm.
