Early Season Bed Preparation and Weed Management Workshop

Weed Management Workshop | Hosted by Chispas Farm and Rodale Institute

Join Chispas Farm and Rodale Institute for a morning of speakers and demonstrations on bed preparation for small-scale growers, including double digging for soil remediation and stale seed bed preparation. Learn about different tools to use and philosophies on bed prep and reducing weed pressure in the early season.

General Agenda: 

• 8:45-9am – Arrive and grab a breakfast burrito and coffee
• 9-10am – Introductions and Farm Tour
• 10-11am – Anita Adalja from Ashokra Farms
• 11-12pm – Becky Hume from Johnny’s Seeds
• 12pm – Lunch and resource sharing

 
This is a free workshop, but space is limited. Farmers and land stewards are prioritized. Please pre-register to save your spot.
