Job Overview

The KnoWEwell community was designed to be the trusted resource for health and well-being knowledge and information. This role is pivotal in helping us accomplish this goal by creating relevant and diverse content to publish across the community platform.

The Ideal Candidate  

The ideal candidate is a kind, friendly and confident self-starter who is ready to roll up his/her sleeves to get the job done and an excellent communicator. S/he brings experience and knowledge to the work, but is also a constant learner who is flexible and able to navigate ambiguous situations.

Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Develop engaging content that promotes the KnoWEwell mission, values, and platform and that drives business success 

  • Read curated, evidence-based articles and videos on topics that are relevant to today’s health and well-being issues and that complement KnoWEwell’s knowledge and content

  • Write abstracts of 150 – 250 words to introduce and briefly describe the curated articles and videos

  • Submit the abstracts for review to the KnoWEwell editorial team

  • Make any suggested revisions to the abstracts 

  • Send the final version to the KnoWEwell editor for publishing 

  • Write and edit website content, membership emails, and social media messaging 

  • Write and edit communications for investors, grant providers, and members 

  • Write and produce video and digital content with a team of “actors” and crew

  • Work with photo editors to bring scripts to life with video, digital content and interactive activities

  • Attend and report on industry conferences, speeches, and webinars 

  • Assist with social media outreach (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter) and webinars 

  • Plan and set an editorial calendar

  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field. Or equivalent work experience 

  • 7+ years of marketing and writing experience developing effective messaging to reflect an organization’s unique voice 

  • Demonstrable knowledge of latest marketing tactics and best-practices around all things digital, video and social 

  • Experience in a health or wellness environment 

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills 

  • A team mindset with a strong desire to contribute 

  • Track record of success executing initiatives that track to key business objectives 

  • Understanding of and experience developing video pieces for targeted audiences  

  • Experience with video shooting and working with video editors 

  • Broadcast journalism experience a plus 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and execute multiple projects with minimal supervision 

  • Technically savvy, proficient in MS Office, CRM, and social media
